Micropigmentation/Q&A
- Q: What are micropimentation or permanent make up?A: Permanent make up are the infusion of color beneath the skin called the dermal layer.
- Q: Is it truly permanent? A: I see it as more semipermanent than permanent. The reason for this is because we cannot go as deep as you would on a normal tattoo on your arm or leg. It's more subjectable to fade when you shed skin cells.
- Q: Does it look natural? A: You bet! Your friends will never know the difference.
- Q: Does it hurt? A: Everybody has different sensitivity levels. I've had clients who have fallen asleep and also had clients who became sore quickly. It is not painful, more of a discomfort. I advise women not to come in when they're menstruating.
- Q: Downtime?A: There is no downtime. Most clients return to their normal activities without pause (although there are precautions you must follow).
- Q: What application tool do you use? A: I use dermografer machine for my applications.
- Q: Are needles reused? A: NO. Applicators are used one time only and then disposed.
- Q: Are the pigments safe? A: All of my pigments are approved, the origem inorganics from minerals by MAG. These pigments are specially made for permanent makeup. If your skin is super sensitive or you feel you might be allergic, I recommend doing a patch test first.
- Q: How long does the procedure take?A: The procedure itself takes 1 hour. The whole process takes about an hour and 40 minutes.
- Q: Does it fade? A: After each procedure the color is dark but luckily as its healing it fades 40% and leaves you with a true and natural looking color!
- Q: Is it expensive? A: It all depends on how you look at it and what you consider expensive. If you think about it how much would you spend for a good quality name brand eyeliner, brow pencil or lip liner in a year? Not just the money, but also think of the time you would be saving? So what is extra time worth to you?
- Q: Will I need touch-ups? A: After you reach your desired color, I highly recommend that you come in at least once a year for a touch up. This is to maintain a fresh solid look.
- Q: Can it get infected? A: If not taken care of properly, yes it can. .
- Q: How do you choose the color and the shape? A: I match the pigment according to your skin tone and hair color. The shape is also matched with your facial features.
Materials Used
Professional qualification and quality materials are fundamental to a successful work. We will list the materials needed to perform the technique micropigmentation:
Dermographism
Product surgically invasive transitional use (less than 60 minutes) and reusable. Responsible for the introduction of pigment in the skin, can be made of metal or plastic models of pistol and pen. In equipment metal parts should be sterilized after each use, they are: tip, door-ink, Chuck and tubes. For equipment, plastic injected, the nozzle, and Chuck tubes are disposable.
POINTER
Product surgically invasive transitional use (less than 60 minutes) and reusable or disposable. The ponteita guide and determines the size of the external tip of the needle. Available in metal and plastic, can be either linear or circular adapted to the type of needle used.
DOOR-PAINT
Steel container in which it is packaged (s) spigot (s). Must be sterilized after each use.
NEEDLES
Produced from stainless steel wire, whose composition is chromium and nickel slightly magnetized. Must be sterilized and packaged one by one, which gives the dates when packing and validity. There are two types of needles: circular, which are used to perform mapping techniques and may be one, two, three and five points-the use of each type will be determined by the desired width of the stroke, and the linear ones, which are used to perform painting techniques and may have three or five points - the use of each type will be determined by the size of area to be pigmented.
PIGMENT
Quality, low setting and degradation are the main characteristics of a pigment of good quality. As the main product being used for technique micropigmentation.
Batoque
Accessory used for driving, storage or transportation of the pigment prior to its introduction into the skin. Should be disposable or made of a material that is sterilized. Can be found in the form of "cups" or ring.
